Announcing the First-Ever Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am!

We are absolutely thrilled to be able to announce an event that has been in the works for awhile now. In collaboration with the spectacular people at Complexity-Limit and Keystone Masters, we are proud to bring you the Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am! Taking place on May 15th, this will be a unique and exciting competition bringing together some of the biggest names in the game to benefit a group of incredible charities.

This is the first time a Charity Pro-Am Tournament will be seen in World of Warcraft esports, and we can’t think of a better way to bring the community together for some deserving causes!

The Event

The Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am will be a one-day competition, taking place on May 15th at 9am PST (6pm CEST). It will be broadcast with the help of some of the top hosts and casters in the game on the Complexity Twitch Channel.

The event will showcase 8 teams battling it out in a single elimination, best-of-three matches, bracket. Each team will be competing under the banner of a non-profit organization of their choice, fighting to earn the biggest chunk of the $10,000.00 prize pool for their charity! The entirety of the prize pool will be going to the five represented charities, the percentage of which will be determined by each team’s final placement!

The Pro-Am Format

The Pro-Am format is no stranger to traditional sports, and we’ve seen it crop up a couple of times in the esports industry, but there has never been a Pro-Am event in World of Warcraft. Pro-Am refers to professional/amateur, and means that the participating teams are made up of a combination of professional players and amateurs. The professional players consist of past and present MDI competitors that made it to official broadcast.

We have already got the 16 professional players signed on, and we think you’re going to be excited by some of the unexpected duos! But we didn’t stop there, we also decided to add a third player to each roster at this stage, someone who is an influencer in the community. We’ve got some fantastic competitors lined up!

But what about the amateurs? That’s right! At the moment, each team only has 3 players, and we still need to add 2 amateurs to each. Well that is where you, yes you come in. We are having open registration for all eligible players out there to fill out these teams! If you have ever wanted to try competitive Mythic+ dungeon running in a more casual environment, this is a perfect opportunity for you. On top of that, if you are selected via the random lottery, you’ll get the chance to play on the same team as some of the most prominent players on Azeroth!

Registration is open to players on both NA and EU servers who meet the eligibility requirements. Click HERE for information on how to register to compete, and to learn if you are eligible. Act quickly, as registration closes at 11:59pm PST on Monday, May 2nd!

The Charities

As mentioned, this event is for the purpose of benefiting and raising awareness to some incredibly worthy causes. The entirety of our prize pool, which has been graciously donated by our sponsors, will be donated directly to the represented charities. Viewers will also have the ability to donate directly to the charity of their choice on the day of the broadcast.

We are proud to use this event to support these amazing organizations:
